Coneheads
Coneheads is a 1993 comedy based on a Saturday Night Live skit. Lorne Michaels produced it and Steve Barron directed. Coneheads stars Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin as Beldar and Prymaat Conehead. Their space ship lands on earth as part of a scouting mission for a possible invasion.
They live with secret identities and try to blend into the American culture. While on earth, they raise their teenage daughter who is dating an American boy named Ronnie, played by Chris Farley.
Coneheads was the only SNL film so far to earn a PG rating. The film also stars Michael McKean and David Spade as INS agents. Other SNL alumni that made cameo appearances are Sinbad, Adam Sandler, Jan Hooks, Phil Hartman, Julia Sweeney and Jon Lovitz. This movie grossed just over $21 million domestically.
