Beverly Hills Ninja
Chris Farley stars in this 1997 action comedy, directed by Dennis Dugan and written by Mark Feldberg. Chris stars as Haru, who was found as a baby in a chest by a clan of ninjas. The clan thinks that he may part of a legend that speaks of a foreigner who would come to them and be a master like no other. Soon, the clan discovers that maybe Haru isn’t the master they think him to be. Haru does have some ninja traits but is very clumsy and does not seem to fit in.
He does not graduate with the other ninjas and is instead told to guard the temple. While left alone to guard the temple, he is approached by a beautiful American woman who needs the help of a ninja. Seeing the opportunity to prove himself, Haru pretends to be a ninja and is soon caught up in a murder mystery.
Beverly Hills Ninja grossed over $31 million dollars . The film also stars Nicollette Sheridan, Chris Rock and Will Sasso.
